When dressing kids for the beach, it’s important to prioritize comfort, sun protection, and practicality. Here are some tips on dressing kids up for a day at the beach:

Swimwear:
Choose swimwear that is comfortable and fits well for your child. Look for styles that provide full coverage and allow for freedom of movement. Rashes or swimwear with UPF protection are great options for extra sun protection.

Sun hat:
Protect your child’s face, neck, and head from the sun with a wide-brimmed hat or sunshade. Look for hats with UPF protection for extra protection from the sun.

Sunglasses:
Invest in UV-blocking sunglasses to protect your child’s eyes from the sun’s harmful rays. Look for sunglasses designed specifically for kids that offer style and sun protection.

Beach blanket:
Bring light, loose clothing such as a t-shirt or skirt that can be easily worn over bathing suits. These provide extra sun protection and can be worn when children need to stay out of direct sunlight. Swimming class:
If you have younger children or toddlers who are not yet potty trained, be sure to bring a swim diaper to avoid any accidents in the water.

Sandals/Water Shoes:
Provide your child with comfortable, water-friendly shoes to protect their feet from hot sand, rocks or sharp objects. Look for sandals or water shoes with non-slip soles and quick-drying materials.

Beach towel:
Bring large absorbent towels for your child to dry off and sit on. Choose fun and colorful designs to make them more interesting. Solar ice cream:
Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF (at least SPF 30) to your child’s exposed skin before going to the beach. Reapply every few hours or as directed on the sunscreen label.

Additional clothing:
Bring an extra set of clothes for your child to change into after being in the water. Light, breathable clothing such as shorts and t-shirts are ideal.

Snorkeling and masks:
If your child enjoys exploring in the water, consider bringing a snorkel and mask appropriate for their age and size. Don’t forget to bring plenty of water, snacks, and beach toys to keep your kids hydrated, full and having fun throughout the day. Keep an eye on them and reapply sunscreen regularly to keep them safe and happy. If you want to know more, click here
